Summary
INDUSTRIAL SELECTIVE MAGNETIC SEPARATORS ARE NOT AVAILABLE AT PRESENT. HOWEVER, SELECTIVE CONTINUOUS SEPARATION CAN BE OBTAINED WITH HIGH MAGNETIC FIELDS PRODUCED BY SUPERCONDUCTING MAGNETS IN AN AREA WIDE ENOUGH FOR AN INDUSTRIAL PROCESS. THE AUTHORS PRESENT STUDIES ABOUT DRY SEPARATORS WITH A ROTATING DISC. THE PURPOSE OF THE STUDIES IS TO ACHIEVE AN INDUSTRIAL SUPERCONDUCTING MAGNETIC SEPARATOR CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A FEW TONS PER HOUR OF FINE DRY GRAINS WITH SUSCEPTIBILITY IN THE PARAMAGNETIC REGION.
