Surface tension of pure water and aqueous lithium bromide with 2-ethyl-hexanol.
Author(s) : YUAN Z., HEROLD K. E.
Type of article: Article
Summary
In order to increase mass and heat transfer in absorption water-lithium bromide chillers, some additives are widely used. The paper deals with surface tension measurements of a solution of lithium bromide in water with 2-ethyl-hexanol as an additive; these measurements are useful to study Marangoni convection phenomena in absorption chiller technology.
