THE USE OF REVERSIBLE WATER-AIR MODULAR HEAT PUMPS WITH A WATER LOOP PROVIDES AN AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM PARTICULARLY SUITABLE FOR BUILDINGS WHOSE REQUIREMENTS VARY ACCORDING TO THE ROOMS OF WHICH THEY COMPRISE. AFTER A BRIEF REPORT ON THE PRINCIPLES AND FUNCTIONING OF THE SYSTEM, AN EXAMPLE OF A UNIT IS DESCRIBED IN DETAIL: THE REHEATING DEVICE IS AN ELECTRIC BOILER, THE HEAT REJECTION MEANS IS A CLOSED-TYPE COOLING TOWER AND THE CONTROL-PROGRAMMING SYSTEM ALLOWS AN OPTIMAL UTILIZATION.
