Tests of omnidirectional thermoanemometric sensors.

Author(s) : GIERCZYCKA E., POPIOLEK Z.

Summary

The paper presents results of tests of thermoanemometer with omnidirectional sensors: spherical, cylindrical and openwork which may be used in thermal environment measurements. The directional and dynamic properties as well as influence of natural convection on thermoanemometer indications and the sensitivity due to influence of changes in air velocity and the ambient temperature were tested. It was found that these sensors might be used in thermal environment tests (the requirements of present standards are fulfilled). On the basis of the tests the general trends of constructional modernization of omnidirectional sensors are formulated.
