Summary
According to a study of 400 employees in two office buildings with mechanical ventilation systems, the workers exposed to these types of materials reported more symptoms of mucous irritation and allergic and asthmatic reactions than the employees not exposed, the irritation being proportional to the wall surface covered. This could have to do with the adsorption of pollutants from the interior air, which varies according to the texture of the textile, on these surfaces.
