Type of article: Article

Summary

TRANSIENT FLOW METHODS OF MEASURING THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY AND DIFFUSIVITY OFTEN INVOLVE THE EXTRACTION OF THE DESIRED RESULTS FROM MATHEMATICAL EQUATIONS WHICH ARE IN THE FORM OF INFINITE SERIES. THIS COULD BE QUITE TEDIOUS WITHOUT THE AID OF A COMPUTER. DESCRIBES HOW, IN A PARTICULAR INSTANCE, THE RESULTS MAY BE MORE EASILY OBTAINED FROM A SIMPLE STRAIGHT-LINE GRAPH.
