Summary

THE GFRP SPECIMENS ARE DESIGNED WITH DOMESTIC INGREDIENTS AND MADE INTO TUBULAR FORM. THESE SPECIMENS YIELD HIGH VALUES OF COMPRESSIVE MODULI AND COMPRESSIVE STRENGTHS ANDTHERE IS A RELATIVELY SLOW RISE OF THESE VALUES AS THE TEMPERATURE GOES DOWN TO 4 K. THE PROPERTIES ARE FAVORABLE FOR THE APPLICATION OF THESE MATERIALS AS COMPRESSIVE SUPPORTS FOR SUPERCONDUCTING MAGNETS OR OTHER CRYOGENIC INSTALLATIONS.
