PRESENTATION OF A METHOD FOR MEASURING THE THERMAL TRANSPARENCY OF PLASTIC MATERIALS FOR GREENHOUSE COATINGS, INCLUDING ALL THE KNOWN AND UNKNOWN LOSSES (CONVECTION, CONDENSATION, ETC). THE EXPERIMENTAL DEVICE FOR IN SITU MEASUREMENT, USING HOT BOXES LOCATED OUTSIDE THE GREENHOUSE, IS DESCRIBED, AS WELL AS THE METHODOLOGY ; THE RESULTS OBTAINED ARE GIVEN. A DATA PROCESSING MODEL OF THE BOXES USED WAS ESTABLISHED, MAKING IT POSSIBLE TO EXPRESS THE MATERIAL K COEFFICIENT UNDER STANDARD CONDITIONS OR UNDER OTHER CLIMATIC CONDITIONS SPECIFIED. J.L.
