Summary

A newly developed scroll compressor can handle the liquid returning and dilution of lubricant. As for improvement in efficiency, this is achieved using a new asymmetric scroll shape, low distortion fixed scroll and suitable radial compliance mechanism. This new scroll compressor is available for R22 and R407C only by exchanging the lubricant, mineral oil and polyvinlyl ether. The paper presents the problems encountered and the solutions chosen in order to solve them.
