The effect of channel height on the enhanced heat transfer characteristics in a corrugated heat exchanger channel.

Type of article: Article
Summary
Measurements were performed with air for two different values of channel height (5 and 10 mm) for a single corrugation angle of 20° C. The air flow rate was varied over the Reynolds number range of 1200 to 4000. The increase of channel height gave rise to a substantial increase both in the fully developed Nusselt number and the friction factor but, considering flow area goodness factor, performance slightly decreased.
