Summary

THE EFFECT OF HEATER WALL THICKNESS, MACROLAYER THICKNESS, WALL SUPERHEAT AND HEAT FLUX ON NUCLEATE BOILING HEAT TRANSFER HAS BEEN STUDIED. THE EQUATIONS GOVERNING TRANSIENT CONDUCTION IN MACROLAYER AND HEATER WALL HAVE BEEN SOLVED ANALYTICALLY. THE RESULTS SHOW THAT THE HEAT TRANSFER RATE CAN INCREASE OR DECREASE WITH INCREASE IN THICKNESS OF HEATER.
