Summary

DESCRIBES A METHOD OF CALCULATING THE LOWEST PROPORTION OF OUTDOOR AIR WHICH TAKES ACCOUNT NOT ONLY OF THE NUMBER OF OCCUPANTS IN A SPACE BUT ALSO TAKES THE QUALITY OF THE RETURN AIR INTO CONSIDERATION. STATES THIS PROCEDURE GIVES A SIGNIFICANTLY LOWER OUTDOOR AIR PROPORTION. SINCE THE PROPORTION OF OUTDOOR AIR GREATLY AFFECTS THE ANNUAL ENERGY CONSUMPTION OF AIR CONDITIONING AND VENTILATION INSTALLATIONS, THIS METHOD LEADS TO SIGNIFICANT SAVINGS. TREATS A CONTROL PROCEDURE FOR VARIABLE AIR VOLUME INSTALLATIONS TO ENSURE A CONTINUOUSLY OPTIMUM OPERATION WITH RESPECT TO THE PROPORTION OF OUTDOOR AIR. (INT. BUILD. SERV.
