THE EFFECTS OF RELATIVE HUMIDITY AND TEMPERATURE OF THE AIR ON THE EFFICIENCY OF AEROSOL FILTRATION THROUGH FABRIC FILTER.

Summary

THE AUTHORS STUDIED THE EFFECT OF THE ELECTRICAL PROPERTIES OF DUST AND FABRIC ON THE ELECTROSTATIC MECHANISM DURING THE FILTRATION PROCESS WHEN AIR HUMIDITY VARIES. THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE INITIAL EFFICIENCY OF FILTRATION AND AIR RELATIVE HUMIDITY IS DESCRIBED AS A FUNCTION WHICH DECREASES WITH INCREASING AIR HUMIDITY. THIS DEPENDENCE MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO DECREASE ENERGY CONSUMPTION THROUGH THE SELECTION OF AIR RELATIVE HUMIDITY ACCORDING TO APPLICATIONS.
