Summary

A QUANTITATIVE ESTIMATION OF THE ELECTROMAGNETIC PROPERTY OF SUPERCONDUCTING CONDUCTORS UNDER VARIOUS CONDITIONS IS IMPORTANT FOR THE APPLICATIONS OF SUPERCONDUCTIVITY. HOWEVER, THERE ARE MANY CASES IN WHICH THEIR PROPERTIES CANNOT BE EVALUATED IN DETAIL, BECAUSE THE CONDUCTOR HAS A COMPLICATED STRUCTURE. THE PAPER REVIEWS THE WELL-KNOWN BASIC ELECTROMAGNETIC PROPERTIES OF A MULTIFILAMENTARY SUPERCONDUCTING WIRE AS A STRAND FOR THE CONDUCTOR. FUNDAMENTAL VIEWS ON THE PROPERTY OF A CONDUCTOR, WHICH IS COMPOSED OF THE WIRES, ARE ALSO DESCRIBED.
