The heat pump competition in the Netherlands' systems evaluation by TNO-MEP.

Summary
From April 1996 to July 1997 the heat pump scene in the Netherlands has been under the spell of the Heat Pump Competition. In this competition, manufacturers, consulting engineers and contractors were asked to combine efforts and to make heat pump system designs for space heating and domestic hot water single-family dwellings. TNO was commissioned to do part of the preparatory work for the competition. The paper gives an overview of the results of the competition and lessons learnt from the energy evaluation of the systems.
