Summary
To achieve the energy policy arising from increasing the contingent of solar thermal heat energy in energy supply, more and more large scale thermal solar plants are necessary. Small solar plants are well known. But a simple scaling up from small to large-scale in design is feasible. So there are similarities when planning and designing large-scale plants. Some points of view are: applicability of several collector types, variation of collector field structure, component and material selection and last but not least fitting into the building stock.
