Summary

A METHOD OF MEASURING THE LOW TEMPERATURE THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY OF A METAL, IE LONGITUDINAL HEAT FLOW STEADY STATE METHOD IS DESCRIBED AS REGARDS THE PRINCIPLE, EXPERIMENTAL EQUIPMENT AND ANALYSIS OF ERRORS. THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY OF STAINLESS STEEL AND TEMPERATURE [ROOM TEMPERATURE TO 20 K (-253 DEG C)] HAD BEEN MEASURED AND COMPARED WITH LITERATURE. THE RELATIVE ERROR IS LESS THAN 5%.
