Summary
When global warming is evoked, one immediately thinks of the "greenhouse effect" and an increase in the carbon dioxide concentration in the atmosphere. Without diminishing the role of the latter, another gas plays an important role on the climate scene: methane. Long neglected, it is now in the forefront.
