The "SUCCEEDS" algorithm: a novel control method for refrigerated cabinets.
Author(s) : LAWRENCE J. M. W., LAWSON S.
Type of article: Periodical article
Summary
The advent of pulsed expansion valves has allowed control of both load temperature and superheat to be combined into one algorithm. This avoids there being two control systems independent of each other and, frequently, in contention. The new algorithm (aspects of which are the subject of patent applications) provides very smooth load temperature control and, when used as advised, very substantial energy savings.
