The role of heat pumps in a deregulated energy market.
Author(s) : BREEMBROEK G.
Summary
Today, the energy market is being deregulated and privatised in many developed countries. This is a major change, not only for the energy sector, but also for its customers. Electrowatt Engineering and the Heat Pump Centre perform an analysis study on the impact of deregulation on the heat pump market. The impact of possible electricity price changes on the heat pump market will be limited. Examples from several countries show that utilities fulfil a key role in the future heat pump market. Therefore, they are a most important partner for increased deployment of heat pumps.
