THIS PAPER DESCRIBES A CONTINOUSLY FILLED CRYOSTAT WHICH CONSUMES A NEGLIGIBLE AMOUNT OF LIQUID HELIUM. THE CRYOSTAT CAN MEASURE TEMPERATURES BELOW 4,2 K TO ROOM TEMPERATURE. THE METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE PRESSURE OF THE EXCHANGE GAS IN THE VACUUM CAN IS DESCRIBED.
