Summary

THE RESULTS OF EXPERIMENTS ARE DESCRIBED FOR RESIDENTIAL AIR CONDITIONING ; THE VALUES CALCULATED WITH A DEVELOPED EQUATION COINCIDED WITH EXPERIMENTAL ONES. BASED ON THESE RESULTS, A NEW DESIGN METHOD USING THE EQUATION IS PRESENTED FOR SELECTING THE PROPER CAPACITY OF DEHUMIDIFIERS. THE QUANTITY OF REEVAPORATION IN A RESIDENTIAL COOLER WAS MEASURED. FROM THE RESULTS, THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN REEVAPORATION AND A TEMPORARY RISE IN HUMIDITY ARE CLARIFIED, AND SOME METHODS TO RESTRICT THE EFFECT ARE PROPOSED.
