Summary

The work presented is the result of research carried out in two complementary directions. The first concerns full-scale solar energy house projects on several sites in France. An active solar system with thermal storage is implemented and tested in a model to check the different running phases. The second direction is the design of computer software which could help to design solar houses and calculate their thermal performance. The comparison of the results is satisfactory.
