Theoretical aspects of cryocondensation vacuum pumps.

Type of article: Article
Summary
The author considers gas dynamic and energy aspects of the process of interaction of gases with cryogenic surface during their condensation. It is shown that in real systems with cryogenic pumping-off, the maxwellian distribution of gas molecules by their velocities is disturbed. It is also shown that the average energy of forward motion of molecules to cryosurface is 1/3 higher than the average energy of molecules being in the separated volume. The conclusion allows more correct calculations of the coefficient of condensation.
