A SIMPLE HEAT EXCHANGER USING SILVER POWDER FOR COOLING PURE LIQUID HELIUM 3 IS DESCRIBED. THE TEMPERATURE DIFFERENCE ACROSS THE HEAT EXCHANGER WAS LESS THAN 5 MICROK AT THE SUPERFLUID TRANSITION OF HELIUM 3 WITH A THERMAL FLUX OF 0.06 NANOW.
