THE PROCESSES OF WATER TRANSFER TO THE FROSTING SURFACE ARE DISCUSSED AND TRANSFER EQUATIONS ARE GIVEN IN THE MOST COMMON CASE OF FORCED CONVECTION. THE CHARACTERISTICS OF FROSTING ARE STUDIED AND THE RESULTS OF THE MAIN TESTS CARRIED OUT ON FROSTING ARE GIVEN: FACTORS ACTING ON THE INCREASE IN FROST WEIGHT, VARIOUS TYPES OF FROST, FROST FORMATION, FROTGO. THEN, DIFFERENT PROPERTIES OF FROST ARE STUDIED: DENSITY AND ITS VARIATIONS,RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY AND SPECIFIC WEIGHT, ROUGHNESS. J.L.
