Summary

The thermal properties (heat capacity and heat of mixing) and physical properties (vapour pressure, density, viscosity, surface tension and solubility) of methanol-lithium bromide-zinc chloride system (1:1, lithium bromide, zinc chloride, by mass) are described. Empirical formulae for the heat capacity and the solubility of this system are given. The vapour pressure data were correlated by an Antoine-type equation. The integral heat of mixing data were correlated by a Redlich-Kister-type equation. Enthalpy-concentration charts for the liquid and vapour phases of this system are shown.
