Summary

This article takes into consideration a full-air conditioning system and its thermal-economic optimization. A preliminary exergetic analysis has been made and the costs of the main components have been calculated, thus making it possible to closely relate the objective function (the sum of capital costs and running costs) to the exergetic parameters of the system. The objective function adopted results in a significant cost reduction as compared to conventional systems.
