Summary

THE PRESENT MODEL ALLOWS PREDICTIONS OF THE THERMAL PERFORMANCE OF SPRAY COOLING PONDS IN THE CASE OF ZERO WIND VELOCITY. DROPLET COOLING IS DESCRIBED BY MODELLING OF THE HEAT AND WATER VAPOUR TRANSFER TO THE AIR. TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY OF AIR ARE OBTAINED BY THE NUMERICAL SOLUTION OF TRANSPORT DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS. PREDICTIONS ARE IN GOOD AGREEMENT WITH THE OBSERVED THERMAL PERFORMANCE OF SPRAY COOLING PONDS.
