Summary
The study is concerned with the thermodynamic analysis of reversible reactions applied to chemical heat pumps. It is possible to reverse an endothermal reaction because of the temperature rise of the reaction medium; this apparently contradicts the normal behaviour of endothermal reactions. The authors develop a qualitative and quantitative feasibility study based on thermodynamic principles to satisfy such a reaction. They propose a continuous chemical heat pump cycle using this reversible reaction.
