Summary

ALLOWING FOR NEW TEST DATA, THE THERMODYNAMIC DATA OF AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS OF LITHIUM BROMIDE WERE COLLATED FOR A RANGE INTERESTING FOR THE DESIGN OF WATER-LITHIUM BROMIDE ABSORPTION REFRIGERATING MACHINES. THE RESULTS ARE GIVEN AS ANALYTICAL RELATIONSHIPS, TABLES AND CHARTS. CHARTS BY VARIOUS AUTHORS ARE COMPARED. THE APPROXIMATE CALCULATION OF A WATER-LITHIUM BROMIDE ABSORPTION REFRIGERATING MACHINE SHOWED THAT THE USE OF NEW TABLES LEADS TO A CHANGE IN THE REQUIRED HEAT EXCHANGE SURFACES RANGING BETWEEN 10 AND 30%.
