Summary

One of the most ingenious and innovative applications of phase-change materials is their use in heat exchangers. The calculation of such devices is, due to the nonstationary nature and nonlinearity of the heat transfer problem, not a simple process. A thermophysical model, based on phase-change kinetics, is derived and a numerical method is used to solve a simple simulation task.
