Three-generation with microturbines for military containers.

Author(s) : NOVAK P.

Summary

Military containers and tents are working places with high thermal loads in winter and summer. Mostly they are full of electronic equipment, which needs to be powered with electricity and cooled with air or water. In the case of field hospitals, the requirements on temperature, humidity and air cleanness are very high. Normal operation of such units needs electricity, cold and hot air or water. These simultaneous needs are met with trigeneration energy systems (TTES). Design of TTES using the new developed micro-turbine generator, standard ammonia absorption chiller, standard gas water heater and AC units for supply of all needed form of energy is presented.
