TURBULENT MIXED CONVECTION ALONG A VERTICAL PLATE.
Author(s) : CHEN T. S., ARMALY B. F., ALI M. M.
Type of article: Article
Summary
PREVIOUS STUDIES HAVE BEEN LIMITED IN VARIOUS WAYS. THE AUTHORS HAVE ANALYSED MIXED CONVECTION IN TURBULENT BOUNDARY LAYER FLOW FOR THE ENTIRE REGIME FROM PURE FORCED TO PURE FREE CONVECTION. THE MODIFIED VAN DRIEST MIXING-LENGTH MODEL USED GIVES A SIMPLE APPROACH BUT IT PROVIDES GOOD RESULTS, PARTICULARLY FOR THE FORCED CONVECTION DOMINATED REGIME. D.W.H.
