TVOC and health in non-industrial indoor environments.
Author(s) : ANDERSSON K., BAKKE J. V., et al.
Type of article: Article
Summary
Finds that the scientific literature is inconclusive with respect to total volatile organic compounds (TVOC) as a risk index for health and comfort in buildings. Consequently there exists an inadequate scientific basis for establishing limit values/guidelines for TVOC, both for air concentrations and for emissions from building materials. Notes the need for further research.
