THIS PAPER REPORTS THE FABRICATION AND PERFORMANCE DETAILS OF A TWO STAGE VALVELESS EXPANSION ENGINE. TEMPERATURE-TIME, TEMPERATURE-PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE-LOAD CHARACTERISTICS OF THE UNIT ARE DISCUSSED IN DETAIL. THE LOWEST TEMPERATURE OBTAINED FOR THE TWO STAGE UNIT WAS 102 K WITH AIR INLET PRESSURE OF 0.9 MPA ABSOLUTE, EXHAUST AT ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE, INLET AIR TEMPERATURE AT 301 K AND SPEED OF 70 R.P.M.
