Summary

The Reynolds number based on liquid parameters changed from 500 to 8000, the gas bubble size was maintained constant. It was shown that the concentration of gas bubbles occurs near the wall in the most regimes as a result of significant differences in liquid velocity and the increase of the wall shear stress as compared with a single-phase flow. Usually the flow was asymmetrical with respect to the pipe axis. This asymmetry was connected with the effect of elevated bubble concentration on local liquid velocity at a given point.
