Use of a chemical heat pump in a heat-emitting space system.

Utilisation d'une pompe à chaleur chimique dans un système spatial de rejet thermique.

Summary

This article presents the results obtained when chemical heat pumps were used in a radiator-heat pump application designed for use in a lunar station. The cooling power inside the station was 2 kilowatts. The temperature of the lunar environment is -70 deg C. Various chemical heat pump design variants were considered: two reactors, a condenser and an evaporator; four reactors and two salts, requiring neither a condenser nor an evaporator; multi-effect designs.
