Consequent to introduction of The Energy Conservation Act in 2001 and advent of ECBC (Energy Conservation Building Code), ail designated consumers of 500 kVA power and more are supposed to carry out energy audit and report the energy conservation carried out in their locations on voluntary basis annually. Some states have made it mandatory to implement the Act.
