Summary
This paper introduces the structure, principle and performance of vacuum insulation plate (VIP), and summarizes its application in refrigerators home and abroad, gives related suggestions. The coefficient of thermal conductivity of VIP compound material (being mainly composed of SiO2) is usually among 2-5 mW/(m.K), which is 1/20 that of expanded styrene, and 1/10 that of expanded ethyl carbamate. In addition, VIP compound material have the advantages both in environment protection and energy saving in the processes of production and application.
