Variable-air-volume air-conditioning systems: optimal reset of static pressure setpoint.

Author(s) : WANG S., BURNETT J.

Type of article: Article

Summary

Dynamic simulation models of the variable-air-volume (VAV) system are developed to test and evaluate the control strategy. The pressure flow characteristics of the VAV systems in an office building were monitored to evaluate the strategy in a real building. The energy saving potential, the on-line control and energy performance of the simulated VAV strategy are evaluated in terms of the characteristics monitored in the building.
