Summary
Vibrations in refrigeration installations can be a source of serious noise pollution in the vicinity and to people in and near the engine room. In some cases, vibrations can lead to piping breakage. The article discusses the general background of vibrations caused by large and medium-large reciprocating compressors and offers some examples of good and bad technical solutions.
