PAPERS PRESENTED AT A CONFERENCE CONCENTRATED ON BOUNDARY LAYERS AS THEY AFFECT BLADE WAKES AND COMPRESSOR END WALL FLOWS. IN THE LATTER ARE INCLUDED SECONDARY FLOWS GENERATED BY TURNING THE UPSTREAM WALL BOUNDARY LAYER, THE TIP CLEARANCE LEAKAGE AND SKEW EFFECTS DUE TO THE RELATIVE MOTION OF BLADE AND END WALL. ADVANCES HAVE BEEN MADE IN THE METHODS OF CALCULATION FOR THREE-DIMENSIONAL FLOWS AND PAPERS GAVE EXAMPLES OF THIS. D.W.H.
