THE PAPER DESCRIBES THE HISTORY AND PRINCIPLE OF MEASUREMENT OF THE YEWFLO, VORTEX FLOWMETER, AND THE UNIQUE PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED WHEN MODIFYING THE STANDARD VORTEX FLOWMETER FOR CRYOGENIC FLOW APPLICATIONS. MAJOR PROBLEMS ARE BRITTLENESS OF MATERIALS, THERMAL EXPANSION DIFFERENCE AMONG COMPONENTS, VOLATILITY OF THE FLUID AND DIFFICULTY IN FLOW CALIBRATION.
