Summary

A cost analysis of energy supply and environmental impact provides rather accurate indications that a water loop heat pump is cost-effective in supermarket and shopping centre applications. In this first part of the article, the author describes the essential principles of the system and its components, and then goes on to create a complete application simulation in a shopping centre with a supermarket with well-defined building and use features.
