What does the commissioning process accomplish?

Summary

The commissioning process (CxP) has been used by many owners to achieve quality in buildings and processes. ASHRAE has developed a general guide for implementing the CxP and NIBS is developing a complete CxP for buildings. CxP provides a new means for delivery of buildings, air-conditioning and refrigeration. A key emphasis of the CxP is orientation to owners needs a continuous improvement of the planning-design-construction-acceptance-operation of refrigeration, central power/heat plant and air-conditioning systems.
