Commissioning and fault detection of HVAC systems by using simulation models based on characteristic curves.

Author(s) : GROB R. F., MADJIDI M.

Summary

HVAC components used nowadays are much more energy saving than those used years ago. The success of the energy saving endeavors becomes even more apparent if one focuses on the controlling devices, and especially implementable controlling strategies. Today's regulation systems enable building operators to run a building and its HVAC-systems - with sophisticated controlling strategies which can be adapted to the needs of the occupants and to the use of the building. In the following it will be shown that traditional commissioning methods are overcome. Therefore, a different approach for commissioning will be presented.
