What if minor loss calculations weren't as accurate as we thought?
Et si le calcul des pertes de charge singulières n'était pas si juste qu'on pouvait le croire ?
Author(s) : KOCH P., PIERSON P.
Type of article: Article
Summary
Although a lot of data are available on minor loss coefficients for air ducts, data on the piping equipment of hydraulic systems are very limited. The authors analysed the data available in Europe and the United States on elbows and tee fittings, and observed many oversimplifications and contradictions. Some data were based on results of a study carried out over 70 years ago and extrapolated to regimes that were not studied at the time.
