African AC market begins to shine.

Air conditioner exports from China to Africa increased by 19% in the first half of 2016.
The African air conditioner (AC) market remained mostly flat during the 2012-2015 period in which it experienced less than 5% growth from 2.42 million units to 2.53 million units.
During this period, imports of ACs have been restricted in many African countries suffering from foreign currency shortages.
However, according to Chinese Customs, market conditions have changed since AC exports from China to Africa increased by 19% in the first half of 2016 compared with 2015. Egypt, Nigeria and South Africa represent about 40% of the total African market.
