Australia adopts ISO refrigeration safety standards
Australia adopted international refrigeration safety ISO standards.
In October 2016, Australia adopted international refrigeration safety ISO standards that supersede the AS/NZS 1677 series: AS/NZS ISO 817:2016, Refrigerants – Designation and safety classification – and AS/NZS 5149:2016 (parts 1 to 4), Refrigerating systems and heat pumps – Safety and environmental requirements.
The adoption of these standards is a “really important step as the HVAC&R industry transitions to a low-emission future,” said AIRAH’s executive manager Phil Wilkinson.
